So far, there aren't any limits to how a joint can be rotated (except for fingers). The lack of limitations means that joints can bend in ways that that aren't possible.
An option to limit joint rotations would be nice though.
In studio mode, the joint rotations are already limited through a component called RotationLimitHinge in RootMotion's IK library.
